Fishnet is Debt-Free!
Dear Fishnet Friend:
Fishnet Ministries, Inc. (FMI) is debt-free!
For years the pressure of debt held us back from fulfilling our purpose in ministry, but that is history!
On Friday, February 11, 2005 at 4:45 pm a check from Warren County was deposited in the bank account of Fishnet Ministries, Inc. The county exercised its option to lease, with the option to purchase, 219 acres of the 236 acre Fishnet Life Center. The check provided the funds to pay all debt which totaled many hundreds of thousands of dollars of accumulated debt!
FMI is totally debt free. This includes the 16,000 square foot Worship Center and corporate headquarters and the 17 acres surrounding the building!
Fishnet 2008 is scheduled for July 17, 18 and 19, our 34th annual Christian festival, and will be held right here at the Fishnet Life Center! Program information is available on this website under the Fishnet Festival section. You can send your name and address and we will send you a full color brochure for the 2008 Fishnet festival. Thank you for being patient with us, as this huge debt load has just recently been lifted and we are re-grouping.
Thank you for your continued prayers, friendship and financial support! I believe we will reach thousands of people for the cause of Jesus in the future years of this ministry! It is a wonderful year of change with many opportunities.
A new phase of ministry is on the drawing board and is being prayerfully and carefully considered. You may watch this website for details and plan to attend Fishnet 2008, July 17, 18 and 19. We plan to announce plans for 2009 and beyond!
Hundreds of thousands of people have cumulatively attended Fishnet festivals and thousands have accepted Christ. We are humbled at the grace, mercy and provision of the Lord.
Please stand with us with your prayers and financial support.
This is an opportunity for us to be faithful to our Lord. There are more battles to fight and more challenges to meet. It is not a time to coast on past accomplishments. We rejoice and celebrate but we press toward the prize to please Jesus. We must seize the wonderful opportunity God has given us to reach the hurting and destitute. I hope you will continue to help us.
When I told one of our long time supporters the wonderful news, he responded by saying that his support will continue as God has touched his life mightily through this ministry! This is the kind of commitment it will take to help us proceed to the next chapter of ministry that God has for us.
Being debt-free is not a destination but rather a place in the journey to do more with greater effectiveness than anytime in the FMI history!
