Fishnet LIVE! FAQs

1. What are the hours of Fishnet Live!?

The Conference begins at 9:15 a.m. (doors open at 8:00 a.m.) and ends at 9:00 p.m.

3. When can I purchase tickets?

Tickets are available now for purchase and will be held at the door for pick-up. You will receive a confirmation of your ticket purchase by e-mail if you register on-line or by snail-mail if you register by phone or mail.

4. Are there discounted tickets?

Discount is given on early registration. The earlier registration is made, the lower the price. Discounts are available for groups--groups of 10 or more registered together, receive a published discounted ticket price. Groups of more than 25—call 540-636-2961 or e-mail fishnet@fishnetministries.org.

5. Will there be any free ticket giveaways?

Occasionally, for widows, orphans and people in financial distress.

6. How do I register?

Fill out registration form on brochure and mail to:
Fishnet Live! P.O. Box 1919 Front Royal, VA 22630, along with check made payable to Fishnet Ministries, Inc. or credit card information. or
Register on-line with credit card via PayPal or

*note: a 5% phone processing fee is applied when calling in registration

7. Can I buy a ticket at the door?

Tickets will be sold at the door, only if seats are available.
*Note: Tickets at the door will be sold at the highest advertised ticket rate

8. Can I get a refund if I can’t make it?

Sorry, we cannot offer refunds because of the limited number of seats available.

9. Is there reserved seating?

Only Gold Circle Tickets are reserved. All else is general admission.

10. What is a Gold Circle Ticket?

A Gold Circle Ticket assures you of a reserved seat all day and evening located very close to the stage.

11. Is venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the venue offers handicapped parking and seating.

12. Will there be interpretation for the deaf?

In some cases. Please inquire 2 weeks in advance for each event.

13. Will there be medical first-aid on site?

Yes

14. May I come back if I leave the venue?

Yes, you will have a re-entry wrist band.

15. Are there motels nearby?

16. Do you have any special rates for the motels listed?

You will need to contact each hotel and inquire.

17. Will there be food available for purchase at the conference?

At Hampton Roads Convention Center only, there will be some food made available for purchase without having to leave the site during lunch and supper.

18. How long are lunch and supper breaks?

Lunch and supper breaks will be approximately 75 minutes each.

19. Are we allowed to bring our own food/drinks in?

We’re sorry, but the venues require that outside food and drinks not be carried into the venue.

20. Are there restaurants nearby?

Yes, there are many restaurants located in the immediate area, some of which include:
Oct. 25th—Hylton Chapel venue—restaurants: Outback, Bob Evans, Olive Garden, Chili’s, Chick Fil-A & many others within 2 mile radius
Nov. 1st—Hampton Roads Convention Center—restaurants: Cypress Grille (walking distance) and over 70 restaurants and fast food establishments within minutes of the Convention Center.

21. Is there a charge for parking?

No

22. May I bring my video camera?

You may bring your video camera, but the sessions cannot be video-taped. You may use it outside the venue and in the fellowship areas.

23. Will the messages be taped?

Most messages will be taped and will be made available on CDs and some on DVDs. Musical guests will not be available on DVDs or CDs.

24. Are children allowed to attend?

Yes, as long as they can participate in the sessions and do not create disturbances. No child care is provided for the event. The ticket price is the same for children, teens and adults.

25. Are there any complimentary tickets?

Some sponsorship tickets will be made available on a limited basis for orphans, widows and people in financial distress. Please send a request stating the reason for your need for a discount ticket or a sponsorship and your request will be considered.

26. What time will each speaker/musician be on the schedule?

The exact times of each speaker or musician will be made available on the day of the conference. However, most speakers are speaking more than one time and most musicians are performing more than once during the conference.

27. Will the artists be selling CDs?

Usually.

28. Is there a phone number for the venue in case of emergency?

29. Are exhibitors allowed?

If your ministry or business fits within the purpose of a Fishnet Live! Conference—to help people, particularly young people, in their walk with Christ, to develop integrity with their lives, to find a vocation for which they are best suited, learn to handle money, to evangelize others, to assist orphans & widows, and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world—we are open to your application. The exhibitors will be limited to those who help fulfill our mission and purpose for these conferences. Request for applications may be sent to fishnet@fishnetministries.org or faxed to 540-636-4768.

30. May I hand out brochures for my event?

There will be information tables available on a rental basis. You may send us a sample of your brochure and someone will get back to you regarding the cost of an exhibit.

31. Are members of the press invited?

Yes. However, advance registration is required. A press conference will be held during each conference at approximately 1:00 p.m. or another announced time.

32. Do you need any volunteer staff:

Yes! We need additional volunteer staff . Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and may send for an application to fishnet@fishnetministries.org or fax to 540-636-4768. Advance registration is required.
Volunteer Training Sessions Schedule will be mailed to you.

33. Do I get a reduction in ticket price if I volunteer to help during this event?

Special arrangements will be made for your participation and details will be sent to you after you register as a Staffer.

34. How do I get approved as a volunteer?

Ask to be added to the Volunteer Staff Meeting List. Material will be sent to you, including an application. Complete the application and return it to Fishnet. Attend a training session before the conference and on the night before or morning of each Conference. After submission of an application and attending a training session, you may be approved as a volunteer.

35. Does Fishnet plan to do other Fishnet Live! Conferences in the future?

Yes! Plans are underway to do additional Fishnet Live! Conferences in different parts of the country. We may be returning to these same locations as in 2008. This will be determined as the event is evaluated.

36. How can I give a donation to Fishnet?

Donations may be sent to: Fishnet Ministries, Inc., P.O. Box 1919, Front Royal, VA 22630 or donate on-line via PayPal or called to the office at 540-636-2961 with a major credit card. You may designate a portion to assist one or several people in attending a Fishnet event.
Donations are tax deductible as Fishnet Ministries, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. Thank you so much for your support!
